Somewhere Below the Stars
Ramona Bădescu & Amélie Jackowski
Follow the first moments of life of a little worm in this irresistible picture book for the little ones.
Somewhere below the stars, today, a little worm is born. He is very small and naked. Pop! He opens an eye. In the immense blue sky, he sees a white foamy cloud. How sweet life must be”, he thinks. Progressively, the grass, trees, dragonflies and colours make their appearance like surprises on the pages and in the little worm’s world. To make this moment of sensory and existential awakening palpable, Amélie Jackowski plays with the images: from blurry to clear, from close to distant, from top to bottom… in a colourful universe with many shades.
A tender book inviting young readers to pay attention to the movements of the living world around them, and encouraging to name what one feels and perceives.
