Friend
Icinori

After the success of Merci (sold in 7 languages), Icinori return with their breathtaking design to tell the dreamlike journey of a child and a giant bat.

While he’s asleep one night, a child gets kidnapped by a giant bat. After a dreadful flight under the bat’s wings, the child’s fear vanishes when they land and their eyes meet: no doubt, the bat is a friend. In the magical adventure that follows, the two friends discover incredible places and meet strange characters: an Eden-like Garden where they pick an apple for their snack, a sumptuous palace where a giant creature uses its tongue to lick its new friends but also has the power to make photographs come out of its mouth. A souvenir the child will take back home to remember this special night…

In this strong book suggesting that the power of imagination can turn a nightmare into an adventure to be shared with friends, Icinori’s stunning illustrations mix sophisticated characters, enchanting settings and architectural elements.
