A Moment on Earth
Seoha Lim
A clever picture book to seize the notions of space, time and gravity.
At the same moment on Earth, depending on where one is standing, opposite phenomena take place: it is daytime somewhere, and night time elsewhere. The sun shines here, and the rain falls over there. At the same moment on Earth, time changes from a time zone to the other and today, someone is already living tomorrow! Using gravity as a graphic system over 15 spreads, Seoha Lim puts together two sides of a same moment. First evoking great concepts such as day and night and the seasons, she progressively comes closer to children’s daily life, suggesting with simplicity the diversity and common points of lives around the planet.
This charming small-format picture book allows to broach complex notions in a simple way.
